These are the primary factors that influence the price of a Level 2 EV charger installation.
Wiring Distance
The distance from the electrical panel to the charger location is one of the biggest cost factors. Longer runs require more cable, conduit, and labour.
Where You Park
Attached garages, detached garages, carports and driveways have different wiring and mounting requirements. A detached garage may need a new underground supply, longer conduit runs or a subpanel, depending on its existing electrical setup.
Trenching and Surface Finishing
Underground routes and driveway crossings affect the scope and cost. Revolt backfills the trench. Landscaping and surface restoration, including concrete or asphalt, are not included and need a separate arrangement.
Panel and Service Capacity
Spare breaker spaces and spare electrical capacity are different considerations. A load calculation helps determine whether a lower charging output, suitable energy management or changes to the panel or incoming service are needed.
Charger Model and Mounting
Equipment cost depends on the charger selected and whether you supply it or ask us to source it. Its electrical requirements, mounting position and exposure to weather also affect the installation.
Permit and Inspection
We arrange the electrical permit and coordinate the required inspections. Your quote identifies the permitting and inspection scope and associated fees.

The condition of the existing installation and any finishing work also need to be understood before the scope is agreed.
- Existing Wiring: Corrections may be needed before an existing circuit or garage supply can be used.
- Hidden Obstacles: Concealed conditions and structural constraints can change the wiring route or work required.
- Interior Finishing: Wiring routes may involve openings in finished walls. The quote identifies whether patching or other finishing work is included or needs a separate arrangement.
- Changes to the Agreed Work: Additional electrical work or unforeseen conditions are distinguished from the original installation scope.

What may be separate
- A charger you purchase yourself is separate from the installation price. If Revolt supplies it, the equipment is identified in the quote.

- Major panel or service upgrades beyond the original scope.
- Work required to address unforeseen conditions discovered during installation.
