REVOLT ELECTRIC
Privacy Policy
Version date: September 27, 2026
Revolt Electric is a sole proprietorship based in Edmonton, Alberta. This policy explains how we collect, use, share, retain and protect personal information when you visit our website, contact us, request a quote, or work with us on an electrical project. Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) applies to our handling of personal information, together with any other law that applies to a particular record or activity.
1. Who is responsible
The owner is responsible for privacy at Revolt Electric and is the person who can answer questions about our service providers outside Canada. Contact the Owner / Privacy Contact at [email protected] or 780-271-5069.
2. Information we collect
We collect information reasonably needed to respond to an enquiry and provide requested electrical services. Depending on the project, this may include:
- your name, email address, phone number and preferred contact method;
- the installation address and property, organization, vehicle, charger and electrical-system details you provide;
- site photos, measurements, plans, messages and other project documents you choose to send;
- quote, approval, permit, inspection, invoice, payment-status, service and warranty records; and
- technical website information described below.
Please send only information relevant to your project. Do not include identification documents, financial-account details or unrelated personal information in an enquiry form or photo. If you provide information about someone else, make sure you have authority to do so.
3. Why we use information
We use information to respond to enquiries; assess project requirements; prepare quotes; arrange visits; plan, permit, perform and inspect work; provide setup, service and warranty support; handle billing and accounting; resolve disputes; protect the website and our records; and meet legal obligations.
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to promotional messages. We seek additional consent where required for a new purpose.
4. Photos and marketing
Photos supplied for an assessment or installation are project records. Requesting a quote is not permission to publish a photo, testimonial, address or other identifiable project information. We will request separate permission before using identifiable customer or property material in public marketing.
5. Website operation and analytics
Our forms use temporary storage in your browser to preserve some information when you change enquiry type and to show a submission confirmation. A saved residential draft is not restored after 30 minutes and confirmed-submission data is removed. Closing the browser or changing its settings may remove this information sooner.
The website is hosted and protected through Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare's automatic Web Analytics is enabled for visitors outside the European Union. It collects page-performance and aggregate visit information such as country, page path, referrer host, device type, browser and operating system. Cloudflare says Web Analytics does not track people across customer sites and does not log query strings. Unsampled beacon data is retained for seven days; sampled aggregate analytics can be available in the dashboard for up to six months.
Our website serves its fonts and icons directly, without separate browser requests to Google Fonts or unpkg. Revolt Electric does not use advertising cookies, session replay or Google Analytics on the reviewed website configuration.
6. Service providers and processing outside Canada
We use the providers below for the stated purposes. A provider or its authorized subprocessors may process information in the listed countries or through a global network. Information handled outside Canada can be subject to the laws and lawful-access processes of the country where it is handled. The locations below describe current public provider information and the reviewed Revolt configuration as of the version date; routing and subprocessor locations can change.
- Web3Forms: receives website enquiry fields, performs spam screening, retains submissions and sends notification email. Web3Forms operates from India. Its public service-provider list includes Amazon Web Services in provider-configured regions; Cloudflare globally; Hetzner in Germany and Finland; and CleanTalk and Automattic in the United States and globally. The current Revolt form setting retains dashboard submissions for up to three years.
- Google Gmail and Drive: receive routed enquiry email and hold business communication and project records. The consumer services are provided in Canada by Google LLC in the United States. Google says it maintains servers around the world and may process information on servers outside the country where a user lives; it does not publish an account-specific country list for this consumer account.
- Airtable: organizes enquiry, contact and project information. Airtable's default at-rest region is the United States; non-US data residency is an Enterprise feature and is not configured for the reviewed Free workspace. Airtable's public subprocessor list also identifies service, support or optional AI processing in the United States, Canada, Australia, Germany, Honduras, Ireland, the Philippines, Romania, the United Kingdom and globally, depending on the feature and provider used. Revolt Electric does not authorize routine use of customer records in AI features.
- Cloudflare: hosts, delivers and protects the website, provides aggregate Web Analytics and routes email sent to [email protected] to the owner's Gmail account. Cloudflare operates a global network and, without a configured localization boundary, may process requests and logs globally. Cloudflare says cookie data may be processed in the United States by default. The reviewed account has no active Zaraz, Consent Management or Google Tag Gateway configuration.
For access to our policies and practices concerning service providers outside Canada, or questions about a provider, country or purpose, contact the Owner / Privacy Contact using the details below.
7. When we share information
We may share necessary information with the service providers above and, where relevant to your project, permitting or inspection authorities, utilities, people engaged to perform the work, insurers or professional advisers. We limit sharing to the purpose involved and obtain consent where required or rely on another authority permitted by law.
8. Protection and retention
Our privacy procedures require safeguards suited to the sensitivity of the information: individual account access, multi-factor authentication where available, device protection and access limited to legitimate business needs. No online system can guarantee absolute security.
We keep personal information only while it is reasonably needed for an enquiry or project, warranty and service support, accounting, dispute resolution or another legal purpose. Current website submissions can remain in Web3Forms for up to three years unless deleted earlier. Provider trash, backup or security processes may keep copies for a limited provider-managed period. When information is no longer reasonably needed, we securely delete or anonymize it. Records supporting business transactions are generally kept for at least six years from the end of the last tax year to which they relate, as required by the Canada Revenue Agency.
Our retention schedule calls for reviewing enquiries that do not proceed after 12 months without meaningful contact, and unused quotes after 24 months from expiry or last meaningful contact. Completed-project technical, permit and warranty records are normally retained for seven years after project close. We retain records longer where needed for a claim, ongoing warranty or permit issue, insurer requirement or legal obligation.
Duplicate form submissions are targeted for removal after 90 days once delivery and the necessary business record are confirmed. This is a manual review policy, not a promise of automatic deletion: Web3Forms retains submissions under its current provider setting until they are removed. Provider backup and recovery periods may also apply.
9. Access, correction, withdrawal and concerns
You may contact us in writing to request access to your personal information, request correction of inaccurate information, withdraw or limit consent subject to legal or contractual restrictions, or raise a privacy concern. We may need to verify your identity. We will explain any effect of a consent withdrawal and any lawful limit on a request.
If a privacy incident occurs, we will assess it and make any report or notification required by law. Under Alberta PIPA, an incident must be reported to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta without unreasonable delay when a reasonable person would consider that it creates a real risk of significant harm.
